How to Request Acupuncture Through VA Community Care
If you are a Veteran receiving care through the VA, getting started generally involves these steps:
1. Talk With Your VA Health Care Team
Ask your VA primary care provider or health care team whether acupuncture may be appropriate for your condition and whether you are eligible to receive acupuncture through VA Community Care.
2. Request Orlando Holistic Acupuncture (our parent company name)

3. Receive Your VA Referral and Authorization
The VA must approve your Community Care treatment before your visit. Your authorization will specify the care that has been approved and the period during which you may receive treatment.

How many acupuncture visits will the VA authorize?
The number of visits and the length of your treatment authorization depend on your individual VA referral. Your VA authorization will specify the care that has been approved.
If additional treatment is medically appropriate after the authorized course of care, additional care may need to be requested and approved by the VA.
